Peeling
What is peeling?
Facial peeling is a treatment for maintaining the aesthetic appearance of the skin and preventing its aging.
(Peeling is a gentle aesthetic treatment that improves the appearance of facial skin by evening out its color and giving it brightness and firmness.)
Chemical peeling is a medical-surgical procedure that uses topical application of substances with varying degrees of acidity to rapidly rejuvenate the surface layer of the skin through protein coagulation.
What is the effect of peeling?
After just the first few treatments, your skin will appear smoother and more luminous.
Collagen production is stimulated, increasing the thickness and elasticity of the skin, for an overall rejuvenation of the face.
Who is peeling recommended for?
Chemical peeling is indicated in all cases where you want to improve the surface, warmth and tone of the skin and in cases of:
- Active or scarring acne.
- Skin blemishes (age-related, sun-related, post-pregnancy, etc.).
- Fine wrinkles on the face.
- Decreased skin tone.
- Skin damaged by the sun.
How does peeling work?
The effectiveness of chemical peels is due to the action of certain substances used during the treatment, including glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and PRX-T. The peel is a painless, outpatient treatment that lasts a few minutes and must be repeated periodically. The technique involves topical application of the substance, which is then dabbed and washed off.
It becomes the ideal treatment if combined with revitalization with hyaluronic acid.
